MY FAMILY GETS ITMy wife and I currently own and are developing residential and commercial property in Yakima. We know that property tax can be burdensome - and good people (American citizens!) can lose their land if they don’t pay. Much to our dismay, Washington State law says property tax is here to stay and must be enforced. As elected assessor I will be on your side - a thinker, a questioner and, if possible, a revolutionary. You can trust me to put the taxpayer first above the government.
CUSTOMER FOCUSIn the assessor's office, as Public Servants, our focus will be customer service. You've got questions? We've got answers. Through better education and consumer-friendly data the public will understand HOW Yakima County property values are calculated when I’m in office. We will look you in the eye and treat you like a real person. Forms will be available online (they are not there today) and you can come to us with any questions and we will help you.
DATA ON DISPLAYWe will utilize my assessyakima.com domain for the county assessor's office and will turn it into a Data-Depot, complete with helpful information - for your own parcel - at your fingertips:
- Explanation for formulas used
- Your own parcel's tax coefficient
- Comps used for valuation
- Localized market data
- Video webinars
- Live chat (!)
We will have two focuses: data targeted towards home owners and a separate dashboard for those who work in the real estate and loan industries. Easy information and easy navigation!
